Lucia Pereira, 79, of Coggeshall Avenue, Bristol, passed away on Aug. 27, 2021, at Miriam Hospital. She was the wife of the late Francisco Pereira.

Born in Fazenda dos Lajes, Flores, Azores, Portugal, she was the daughter of the late Manuel and Maria (de Freitas) Dias. She is survived by her children, Bernadette Bettencourt and her husband Isauro, Maria Moniz, Francisco M. Pereira and Marylou Legendre; grandchildren, Mark Moniz, Gregory Pereira, Samantha Bethune, Stephanie Spencer, Krystal Metivier, Benjamin Pereira, Tim Pereira, Dean Metivier, Andrew Bettencourt and Aaron Waldek, and eight great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Pereira was educated in Portugal and employed by Robin Rug before retiring.

Her funeral services were held Sept. 1 at the George Lima Funeral Home, with a Prayer Service led by Pastor Isauro Bettencourt and Pastor John Amaral. Burial followed in St. Mary’s Cemetery.
