As Bristol’s town clerk, I’m here to reveal the true winners of this year’s election—and it’s not just the candidates. This victory belongs to you, Bristol. From our dedicated poll workers and police to town staff, voters, and volunteers, the real triumph is the incredible commitment our community showed to democracy.
This election wasn’t just about the final results; the biggest numbers came from the dedication and spirit each of you brought to the process. Regardless of the outcomes, Bristol’s civic responsibility shone through every step of the way. So, who really won? The answer is simple: The true winners are you!
Check out the headlines you made, in my eyes.
Bristol’s victory: Powered by community, fueled by you
First and foremost, a great big thank you to our incredible poll workers. These dedicated individuals, both seasoned pros and fresh faces, stood at the heart of the election, ensuring it ran smoothly and securely. Their commitment helped safeguard our democracy and ensured that each vote was counted.
Strength in every vote: Bristol’s community wins Election Day
A sincere thank you as well to the voters who came out to cast their ballots. So many of you brought warmth and positivity to the polls, treating poll workers and each other with respect. Many of you took the time to share words of appreciation, bringing a spirit of goodwill that truly enhanced the experience for everyone involved.
Our community’s commitment by the people, for the people
My heartfelt thanks also go to the Bristol Police Department for ensuring a safe atmosphere, and to the Department of Public Works, along with other town staff and individual volunteers, who worked tirelessly to set up polling sites. Their efforts made each location accessible, organized, and ready to welcome voters.
Anchoring integrity in every election
My deepest gratitude to the Board of Canvassers, whose expertise and oversight were essential to making Election Day a success. Their dedication to upholding election standards ensured that each step of the process was handled with integrity and care. Thank you for your unwavering commitment to Bristol and its citizens.
United for Democracy: Bristol’s community at work
And, of course, a special thank you is owed to my office staff for their countless hours and unwavering support to voters and poll workers alike. It is a collective effort, and I am proud of each and every one of you. Together, we showed Bristol’s true spirit of community and commitment to democracy.
Neighbors, volunteers, voters: Bristol’s community unites for a stronger Democracy
It’s because of this incredible teamwork that Bristol had a truly successful election, one we can all be proud of. United by a shared goal of serving our community and upholding democratic values, we made this election a shining example of what Bristol stands for. This spirit of commitment, cooperation, and dedication is how Bristol came together and won this election.
Bristol’s newspaper in service of Democracy
And not to forget, thank you to the newspaper for keeping voters informed every step of the way and letting me share all these thanks with the community. I know column space is valuable, so I appreciate you letting me squeeze in just one more “thank you”!
