Letter: Moderator did a great job with candidate forums

Posted

Now that the League of Women Voters’ candidates’ forums are over in the East Bay, I would like to publicly thank Scott Pickering for his generosity of time and talent in moderating our numerous candidates’ forums.

His expertise in running smooth evenings of public questioning of the various towns’ candidates is so very appreciated. The League of Women Voters is devoted to an educated electorate, and these forums provide an opportunity to learn and evaluate each candidate on their merit, not party affiliation. Our forums would not be the same without our moderator’s devotion and guidance.

On behalf of the East Bay LWV, thank you, Scott and East Bay Media Group!

To my fellow Rhode Island residents: On behalf of the entire LWV community, please cast your vote on or before Nov. 5.
