My response is in regards to your article about the councilors who would like to enforce the 5 a.m. setup rule for the parade. Perhaps next year, they should go around themselves at 1, 2, 3 or 4 a.m. to make sure no one has set up yet.

I’d also like to know how they are going to enforce the “no alcohol” and “no dogs/animals” rules. No one seems to bat an eye when concert-goers leave their chairs at Independence Park for two weeks.

It seems to me, people are being selective about which rules for the parade they want to enforce because they are salty about losing “their” parade spot.

There are so many other things in this town that need attention, yet we are worried about who is claiming a spot for the parade before us.

I’d also like to say to the Phoenix, that using a photo of children smiling and enjoying the parade from an inflatable pool was a poor choice. That photo should have been used to promote the parade and all the fun families have. It shouldn’t have been used to promote a negative article about a bunch of crybabies complaining.
