Leonora Carmo (Garrafa) Costa, 96, of Woodlawn Avenue, Bristol, passed away May 31, 2021. She was the wife of the late Edward Costa.

Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Marcelino and Maria Isabel (Damazio) Garrafa. She is survived by her children: Edward (Sally) Costa Jr. of San Diego, Calif., Stephen (Rhonda) Costa of Spring Hill, Fla., and Lenore J. Costa of Bristol; grandchildren: Lance, Lowell, Brandon, Nathan, Stephen, Corey, and Meghan; step-grandchildren: Monica and Valleri; and great-grandchildren Chase, Olivia, Cristiano and Elias. She was the sister of Hilda Silvia and the late Frank Garrafa and Mabel Bento.

Mrs. Costa was a graduate of Colt Memorial High School and was the owner of Duffy’s News, along with her husband for 30 years, before retiring.

Calling hours are Saturday, June 26, from 8:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the George Lima Funeral Home, 367 High St, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. at St. Elizabeth Church, 577 Wood St. Burial will follow in St. May’s Cemetery.
