John “Jack” Martin Lema, Jr., 75, of Dixmont, Maine

John “Jack” Martin Lema, Jr., 75, of Dixmont, Maine, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family in Warren on June 9, 2019. 

Born in Providence, he was the son of the late John and Helen (Silvestro) Lema. He is survived by his children, Donna Leger and her husband, Brian, of Bristol, Jennifer Patullo of Warren, and John M. Lema III of Somerset, Mass.; and grandchildren, Michael Leger, Sarah Leger, Daniel Leger, Ryan Patullo, Ty Lema, Cole Lema and Rex Lema. He was the brother of Joan Castigliego of Bristol and the late Carolyn Maine.

Mr. Lema was a graduate of Colt Memorial High School and the owner of Jack’s Auto Body in Warren for 15 years. He enjoyed hunting on Prudence Island and Maine as well as fishing on his boats “The Rascal” and “The Golden Fleece.” Jack had his pilot’s license and enjoyed flying locally. While living in Maine, he enjoyed snowmobiling, gardening, bird watching and raising rabbits, chickens and pigeons.

Calling hours will be held Saturday, June 15, from 9 to 10:30 a.m. at the George Lima Funeral Home, 367 High St., with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. at St. Elizabeth’s Church, 577 Wood St. Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery.
