A Bristol man who allegedly threatened to distribute intimate photos of his ex-girlfriend unless she pay him upwards of $5,000, was arrested and charged with multiple crimes last weekend.

The woman came to the Bristol police station on Saturday, May 18, to report the situation. She told officers that Eric K. Marshall, 49, of 34 Broadcommon Road, Bristol, who she formerly had a relationship with, was demanding $5,000. If she did not pay him, he allegedly told her he would distribute intimate photos of her that had been taken with her consent.

She also told police this was not the first time he had made this threat. She had already paid him once to prevent him from distributing the photos. She claims that as soon as she paid him the first time, Mr. Marshall demanded more money.

Bristol detectives investigated and arrested Mr. Marshall later that day. He was charged with domestic cyberstalking and cyberharassment (for sending unwanted, threatening text messages), as well as extortion.
