Diane E. Peters, 78, passed away at her home in Bristol on Friday, June 25, 2021.

Born in Jersey City, New Jersey, she was the daughter of the late John and Edna (Bolenbach) Simister.

Diane worked as a school bus driver for many years in Warren. In her free time Diane enjoyed crafts and cooking.

Diane is survived by her sons: Erik E. Peters (Sandra) and Bradley J. Marshall; and her granddaughters: Arden-Lyn Peters and Leia Peters; her sister: Lorain Simister.

In death, Diane is reunited with her parents.

Relatives and friends are invited to a graveside service on Thursday, July 8, 2021, at 11 a.m. in South Burial Ground, Sowamsett Avenue, Warren.

A lifelong Portsmouth resident, Jim graduated from Portsmouth High School in 1982 and earned a journalism degree from the University of Rhode Island in 1986. He's worked two different stints at East Bay Newspapers, for a total of 18 years with the company so far. When not running all over town bringing you the news from Portsmouth, Jim listens to lots and lots and lots of music, watches obscure silent films from the '20s and usually has three books going at once. He also loves to cook crazy New Orleans dishes for his wife of 25 years, Michelle, and their two sons, Jake and Max.
