‘Deck the Doors’ contest returns

The Bristol Christmas Festival Committee invites Bristol residents and businesses to enter the 2021 “Deck The Doors” contest, with bragging rights up for the Best Residential, Best Commercial, and People’s Choice.

Entries must be received no later than Dec. 1 at 8 p.m., with judging to be held Dec. 10 to 17.

Winners will be announced on Facebook live at the 10th annual Bristol Snowflake Raffle on lower State Street on Sunday, Dec. 19, 5:15 p.m.

Participation is free, and open to all residents and businesses within the boundaries of the Town of Bristol. Judging will be focused on the front entryway of the home. While the front yard, exterior of the home and more have potential to be decorated, judges will be asked to focus on the front entryway only.

Judging will be done from outside the home, and judges will not go on property to judge homes. Criteria will include creativity, holiday spirit, innovation, and uniqueness.

All entries agree to have their home photographed by the Bristol Christmas Festival Committee photographer and posted on the Committee website.
