Monday, June 15
A Bristol man was arrested following an accident along Wood Street at 6:26 p.m. Christopher J. Haughton, 40, of 22 Mt. Hope Ave. was charged with DUI and refusal to submit to a chemical test.
Tuesday, June 16
A caller complained about an attendant at a Gooding Avenue car wash who was approaching vehicles without wearing a mask.
Someone notified police about a young girl walking along the rocks at Independence Park. An officer responded, but the girl was with a parent.
A Richmond Street resident complained about a neighbor who was yelling on a fire escape at 6:27 p.m.
A Clipper Way resident reported fraud on her PayPal account.
A resident on Fox Hill Avenue complaint of fireworks at 7:34 p.m.
An officer advised residents on Hamlet Drive to keep the noise down after someone complained of loud music at 11:02 p.m.
Wednesday, June 17
Elizabeth L. Campo, 38, of 6 Belcourt Ave., Apt. 1, Bristol, was arrested and charged with domestic assault after an incident at 7:44 p.m. She was arraigned at the station and released.
A Kingswood Road resident reported a coyote that appeared to be sick at 8 p.m. It was gone before an officer arrived.
An officer responded to Constitution Street at 10:11 p.m. after a report of a large group of people in the road breaking bottles. A patrolman reported it was a misunderstanding.
Thursday, June 18
A resident reported that neighbors in an adjoining apartment were being too loud at 12:26 a.m. An officer advised them to quiet down.
Officer were called to Siegel Street at 7:51 a.m. for a domestic argument. The parties dispersed without further incident.
An officer issued a citation for a vehicle on Roma Street that had reportedly not moved in months.
An officer responded to the parking lot behind Rogers Free Library after police received a report of a large group assembled there at 5:31 p.m. He found no problems, just two juveniles sitting under a tree.
A resident on Lang Avenue complained about a woman screaming obscenities at 11:03 p.m. An officer responded but did not find any evidence of a disturbance.
Friday, June 19
A resident on Bay View Avenue complained about loud music coming from a duplex at 12:06 a.m. An officer found a small gathering of people, and she advised them to move inside for the night.
An officer called rescue to the intersection of Hope and Burnside streets at 10:44 a.m. to assist an intoxicated man who was passed out on the sidewalk. He was taken by rescue to Newport Hospital.
A boat owner reported larceny from Rockwell Dock.
A caller notified Bristol Police about an elderly man sitting nude on a rock wall in Warren. Warren Police were notified.
Officers were called to the boardwalk behind the Stone Harbour condos at 3:42 p.m. for a reported fight between two women, with a large group of people around them. One was immediately taken into custody; the other was taken to Rhode Island Hospital for treatment. Both Hailey A. Bigos, 23, of Dartmouth, Mass., and Lindsey L. Lacerda, 36, of Taunton, Mass., were charged with domestic assault and domestic disorderly conduct. Both were eventually brought to the station, arraigned by a justice of the peace and released.
Rescue was called to the scene and a Bristol man was arrested after an incident on Franklin Street at 7:31 p.m. Steven J. Dias, 42, of 4 Hopeworth, Ave., Bristol, was charged with simple assault.
Someone called police to report three vehicles driven by men racing around the Harborview Avenue area at 9:40 p.m. They were gone when officers arrived.
An officer advised a group of people on John Street to move things inside for the night after someone reported a loud gathering at 10:02 p.m.
Someone reported fireworks on King Philip Avenue at 10:22 p.m.
Saturday, June 20
A patrolman dispersed four people from the boardwalk behind the Stone Harbour condos at 12:40 a.m.
A resident complained about people outside jumping in a pool and being loud on Evelyn Drive at 2:13 a.m. A patrolman advised the small group to quiet down.
A High Street resident complained about a landscaping crew that was working at 7:45 a.m.
Someone complained about a man wearing gray sweatpants and a gray shirt who was allegedly harassing pedestrians along the East Bay Bike Path at 9:39 a.m. He was gone when officers arrived.
An officer was called to Villa Avenue at 10:45 a.m. to assist neighbors who were arguing over a powerwasher.
An officer was called to Dolly Drive at 1:42 p.m. after a neighbor was reportedly yelling about cutting grass.
A mailman called to report smoke smoldering from the side of a home on Hope Street at 2 p.m. Firefighters were called to the scene, but a resident had extinguished a small mulch fire when they arrived.
A man was reported to be harassing town staff because the gate to the town beach area was closed at 2:24 p.m. He left peacefully.
An intoxicated man was reportedly being disorderly along Thames Street at 7:26 p.m.
Someone reported a sick coyote walking around the area of Fales Road at 8:33 p.m.
From 8:40 p.m. to 10:24 p.m., police received five fireworks complaints, from State Street, Monroe Avenue, Goulart Avenue and River Street.
A patrolwoman advised people on John Street to quiet down after police received a complaint at 10:39 p.m.
A patrolman dispersed people from the gazebo on the Town Common at 10:56 p.m. after a report of a child screaming.
Sunday, June 21
One woman was transported to Newport Hospital after a reported fight on Franklin Street at 12:02 a.m.
Police received more complaints about fireworks from 12:31 a.m. to 1:11 a.m. along Metacom Avenue and Kevin Court. An officer spoke to a man who was lighting them off along Broadcommon Road at 1:35 a.m.
A man was dispersed from the playground at Veterans’ Park at 8:59 a.m. after he was allegedly setting up a shelter.
Police issued a no-trespass order after a harassment complaint on Michael Drive at 2:37 p.m.
A neighbor complained that the music at the Portside Tavern was too loud at 5:10 p.m.
Officers were called to Wood Street for a neighbor dispute at 5:29 p.m.
Bristol officers responded, then called DEM officers to the scene, after a reported domestic dispute (verbal only) in the Coggeshall Farm area of Colt State Park at 7:32 p.m.
Police received fireworks complaints from Primrose Drive and Academy Avenue at 9:03 p.m. and 9:14 p.m., respectively.
A small group of juveniles were dispersed from the Colt School playground after allegedly playing loud music at 9:15 p.m.
Someone reported fireworks in the area of Hope Street and Asylum Road at 9:17 p.m.
East Providence Police conducted a motor vehicle stop that led to an arrest in Bristol. At 10:06 p.m., East Providence notified Bristol that it had a man in custody who was wanted on a Bristol warrant. Jason C. DaLuz, 34, of Warren, was brought to the Bristol station and charged with domestic assault (third offense) and violation of a no-contact order (third offense or more). He was arraigned by a justice of the peace and released.
