Bristol police officers made three DUI arrests and were called to an array of domestic situations, including a woman who allegedly used a knife to damage property, during a busy week from Nov. 11 to 18.

Monday, Nov. 11

A caller from Mulberry Road reported their vehicle was stolen during the night.

A Prospect Street resident reported packages taken from the front of their residence.

Officers closed the road and assisted on the scene of a burning utility line and tree along Woodlawn Avenue at 6:05 p.m. National Grid was called to the scene and the fire was extinguished.

A resident on Westwood Road reported a large amount of money missing at 6:34 p.m.

A woman from Acacia Road called at 7:41 p.m. to say her husband was an hour overdue and she could not make contact with him. She called back to say she had found him and there were no issues.

A Sousa Street resident complained of loud music at 11:10 p.m.

Tuesday, Nov. 12

Steven F. Daigle, 63, of Providence, was taken into custody at 9:04 a.m. on Massasoit Avenue and charged with violation of a no-contact order. He was later brought to District Court.

The animal control officer was called to Poppasquash Road to help remove a bird from an office at 12:16 p.m.

Officers were called to Chilton Street at 3:54 p.m. when someone requested assistance removing an unwanted person from the residence. Cory A. St. Ours, 31, of Warren was initially dispersed from the scene, but taken into custody a few hours later by Warren Police. Bristol officers picked him up at the Warren station, brought him back to Bristol, and charged him with violation of a protective order and willful trespass. During the night, he was taken to Newport Hospital for evaluation and in the morning transported to Sixth District Court in Providence for arraignment.

A resident called police at 11:49 p.m. to report two college-age men riding up and down Sowams Drive on scooters.

Wednesday, Nov. 13

Officers responded to the Bristol Food Mart on Wood Street to help resolve a dispute between a clerk and customer over a store refund at 8:18 a.m.

A resident on Woodlawn Avenue reported credit card fraud.

Officers took a report of a domestic disturbance in the area of Hope and Franklin streets at 3:14 p.m.

An officer spoke to a motorist after someone on Lincoln Avenue reported a loud music from a vehicle at 9:24 p.m.

An officer responded to High Street at 11:27 p.m. after someone reported family members talking too loudly.

Thursday, Nov. 14

A caller reported suspicious activity at Veterans Park on Wood Street at 3:52 p.m., alleging four people in a car were using narcotics. Officers responded, found no narcotics and dispersed the group from the park.

Friday, Nov. 15

After a caller reported loud music coming from the Almeida Apartments on Bay View Avenue at 12:48 a.m., officers responded and cited three 20-year-olds for underage possession and consumption of alcohol.

An officer cited a 21-year-old for urinating in public at 1:55 a.m. in the area of State and Wood streets.

At 4:53 a.m., a caller from Hope Street reported finding a man sleeping in their basement. An officer responded and called rescue to bring an intoxicated man to the hospital.

At 12:03 p.m., a caller from Bourne Street reported a woman in the residence had a knife and was destroying furniture; he said he was able to disarm her. Officers responded and arrested Olivia M. Gillooly, 26, of 39 Bourne St., Apt. 3, Bristol. She was charged with domestic disorderly conduct and domestic vandalism.

A resident called police at 1:17 p.m. to report a suspicious man along Alma Avenue attempting to gain access to a home. Officers responded and found the man was at the wrong residence. There was no arrest.

At 8:30 p.m., an 18-year-old was cited for misuse of an ID, unlawful drinking, at 1776 Liquors.

A resident on Etelvina Court reported a raccoon in their garage at 8:34 p.m.

Ted Raymond, 40, of 4 Siegel St., Apt. 3, Bristol, was charged with a Superior Court warrant.

A vehicle and its occupants were dispersed from the Town Beach at 9:08 p.m.

A caller complained of loud people outside in a backyard along Magnolia Street at 9:52 p.m. An officer responded and spoke to them.

A caller reported a go-kart being driven around the neighborhood in the area of Monterey Road and Sowams Drive at 10:56 p.m.

Saturday, Nov. 16

A Sousa Street resident reported loud music at the end of the street at 12:15 a.m.

After a traffic stop on Hope Street at 1:19 a.m., Eder O. Baptiste, 31, of Fall River, was charged with DUI and refusal to submit to a chemical test.

A resident on Alma Avenue reported trespassing at 8:11 a.m.

At 4:08 p.m., a 20-year-old was cited for underage possession of alcohol at Mt. Hope Liquors on Hope Street.

Christopher A. Wood, 27, of 5 Dunbar Ave., Apt. 1, Bristol, was charged with a District Court warrant at 4:31 p.m.

Shortly before 8 p.m., Brendan N. Prendergast, 45, of 700 Hope St., Apt. 6, Bristol, was taken into custody and charged with violation of a no-contact order.

Officers dispersed a suspicious person inside a silver Nissan from the employee parking lot at 1776 Liquors at 10 p.m.

Officers dispersed people in two vehicles from Lower Ferry Road at 10:41 p.m.

Sunday, Nov. 17

A man found sleeping in a vehicle in the Bristol Harbor Inn parking lot was dispersed from the area at 12:26 a.m.

At 5:21 a.m., Andrew T. Berube, 20, of Groton, Mass., was charged with DUI and refusal to submit to a chemical test.

An officer picked up a man near the intersection of Metacom and Griswold avenues at 2:38 a.m. and transported him to Almeida Court.

At 6:23 p.m., Natalia Barbeiro, 53, of 76 Bay View Ave., Apt. 2, Bristol, was charged with DUI and refusal to submit to a chemical test.
