Bristol Police: Arrests for DUI, domestic assault, credit card fraud

Monday, April 7

Danielle N. Joly, 41, of 25 Homestead Ave., Warren, was charged with domestic simple assault and domestic disorderly conduct.

A complainant reported finding a tree-mounted deer hoist in Pokanoket tribal land off Tower Street.

A caller from Wood Street reported a past domestic assault at 12:40 p.m.

A Constitution Street resident reported check fraud at 12:48 p.m.

One person was arrested following a motor vehicle accident on Metacom Avenue at 11:14 p.m., when a vehicle struck a utility pole. The pole reportedly ignited. An animal control officer was called to the scene to take custody of a dog in the car. Dylan Furtado, 24, of 83 King Philip Ave., Bristol, was taken into custody and charged with DUI and refusal to submit to a chemical test. He was arraigned at the station and released.

Tuesday, April 8

At 7:32 a.m., Christopher Valle-Montiel, 31, of 508 Middle Highway, Barrington, turned himself in at the station to be served a warrant for breaking / entering a business or public building with felonious intent, larceny under $1,500.

A Sandra Drive resident filed a report of trespassing, saying he has video of a male trespassing on his property multiple times.

A caller from Thames Street requested a no-trespass order against a male subject at 2:34 p.m.

Wednesday, April 9

A 15-year-old was charged with possession of a vape/nicotine device on school property at Mt. Hope High School at 9:36 a.m.

An officer responded to Raposo Farm on Metacom Avenue to lend assistance after goats got loose at 9:47 a.m.

An Elmwood Drive resident called police at 10:43 a.m. to report that her neighbor continues to fill up her recycling bin with trash.

An Anthony Avenue resident called to report continued harassment from a family member at 11:21 a.m.

An officer spoke to a man who was going door to door on Vasta Lane and soliciting for a roofing contractor at 2:30 p.m. He was dispersed from the area.

A 15-year-old at Mt. Hope High School was charged with simple assault and disorderly conduct at 2:55 p.m.

An officer responded to Wapping Drive for a neighbor dispute at 6:56 p.m. The complainant said they will survey the land and contact police again.

Thursday, April 10

Officers responded to Hopeworth Avenue at 1:40 a.m. and took into custody Brittney J. Thibeault-Goldade, 37, of 136 Hopeworth Ave., Bristol. She was charged with domestic disorderly conduct, held at the station overnight and brought to District Court for arraignment in the morning.

An officer utilized a noise meter at a landscaping company’s Metacom Avenue location at 5:59 a.m. and found no violations.

Officers investigated a domestic situation on Bay View Avenue at 8:43 a.m. There were no arrests made.

Friday, April 11

An officer checked the same Metacom Avenue landscaping company’s location with a noise meter at 6 a.m. and again found no violations.

Lori L. Simmons, 40, of 4 Gorham Place, Bristol, reported to the station at 8:09 a.m. to be served a warrant. She was charged with violation of a domestic no-contact order and taken to District Court for arraignment.

A caller from Collins Street reported coming home to find things out of place in his home at 3:58 p.m.

Someone complained of loud music in the area of River Street and Metacom Avenue at 8:06 p.m.

Saturday, April 12

An officer picked up and transported three males back to the campus of Roger Williams University at 12:45 a.m. They were found at Columban Drive along Ferry Road.

An officer again checked a Metacom Avenue landscaping company’s location with a noise meter at 6 a.m. and again found no violations.

A caller from Catherine Street reported that her boyfriend assaulted her and broke her phone before leaving the scene at 10:21 a.m. Officers searched for him and sent out an alert to other departments to be on the lookout for the suspect.

Officers served a warrant on Mason Avenue and picked up Shannon L. Mederos, 42, of 18 Mason Ave., Apt. 3, Bristol. She was charged with misdemeanor conspiracy and arraigned at the station.

Warren Police took into custody Jermaine R. Brewster, 42, of 18 Mason Ave., Apt. 3, Bristol. He was brought to Bristol, charged with five counts of fraudulent use of a credit card, arraigned at the station, and then transported to the ACI.

Officers dispersed a group of people who were reportedly unruly in the roadway along Bradford Street at 4:51 p.m.

Sunday, April 13

An officer dispersed someone from the area of the Mt. Hope Boat Ramp off Annawamscutt Drive at 4:41 a.m.

An officer tested with a noise meter on Lisa Lane at 6 a.m. and found no problems.

An officer investigated and found an intoxicated woman sleeping in her car on Lower Ferry Road at 8:45 p.m. She was transported to Newport Hospital.

Officers investigated a report of a disturbance on Anawan Avenue at 8:46 p.m. It turned out to be just a verbal argument.

Jillian A. Leahy, 47, of North Scituate, R.I., was charged with DUI and refusal to submit to a chemical test at 10:42 p.m.

Tiasa R. Loignon, 43, of Warwick, R.I., was charged with issuing fraudulent checks at 10:50 p.m.
