Bristol Police made two arrests and intervened on several loud parties and gatherings between May 1 and May 7, 2023.

Bristol PD: Two arrests and loud parties dispersed

Monday, May 1
An officer spoke to a driver on Hope Street at 3:38 p.m. who appeared to be driving recklessly. The officer learned the operator was “attempting to avoid potholes.”

A loud group was spoken to on Metacom Avenue at 9:26 p.m.

Tuesday, May 2
Harassment was reported on George Street at 8:33 a.m.

A vehicle that was reported stolen at an earlier date was located in the Dunkin Donuts parking lot on Metacom Avenue at 10:00 a.m.

Wednesday, May 3
An Anthony Avenue resident reported vandalism to their vehicle’s steering column at 12:35 p.m.

A raccoon in a trash bin on Congregational Street was reported at 3:18 p.m.

Jennifer Sousa Ramirez, 50, of Bristol, was arrested on a warrant at 4:07 p.m. She was charged with second degree child abuse and disorderly conduct.

Thursday, May 4
Ryan Ramos, 23, of Bristol, was arrested on a warrant on Metacom Avenue at 12:24 a.m. He was charged with domestic violence (felony assault and/or battery), and domestic violence (disorderly conduct, first offense). He was arraigned and later released.

A cyclist on the Mt. Hope Bridge was spoken to at 10:49 a.m.

Police dispersed people who were shouting in the cemetery on Chestnut Street at 10:08 p.m.

Friday, May 5
A possible propane leak on Robin Drive was investigated by the Bristol fire department hazmat truck at 5:35 p.m.

Police looked into a large bonfire on Lea Drive at 8:12 p.m.

Saturday, May 6
Police dispersed a man from Alma Avenue who was allegedly in violation of a no trespass order at 1:23 p.m.

Police investigated a group of juveniles who were illicitly entering buildings on Wood Street at 1:28 p.m.

The hazmat team investigated fluid in the roadway on Hope Street at 2:03 p.m.

Fraud was reported on Platt Street at 4:09 p.m.

Police spoke to a loud group of RWU students on Evelyn Drive at 5:08 p.m. They returned to Evelyn Drive at 6:14 p.m. and dispersed the gathering after receiving another call.

A rescue was called after a reported fight occurred on Metacom Avenue at 7:52 p.m.

Sunday, May 7
A loud RWU party was dispersed in the area of Bay View and Thompson Avenues at 12:47 a.m.

Another group was dispersed from State and Center Streets at 1:18 a.m.
