Posted

The annual Firemen’s Memorial service and parade will once again take place in Bristol this Sunday, June 9. Following an 11:30 a.m. Mass at St. Mary’s Church, the parade will begin at the Dreadnaught fire station on the corner of Church and High streets.

Starting on High Street, the route will head north, turning left onto Franklin Street, before making another turn onto Hope Street toward Church Street. At Church Street, the route will turn right, ending at Firefighter’s Memorial Park on Thames Street.

A memorial service and speaker program will immediately follow, beginning at 1:45 pm at the park. Featured guest speaker will be Ret. Fire Chief Al Galinelli of the Warren Fire Department. Refreshments will be available.

In the event of rain, the parade will be canceled, and the memorial service and speaker program will instead take place at Dreadnaught Station at 1 p.m.
