The 2019 Brotherhood of the Holy Ghost and Holy Spirit Feast will be held the weekend of June 14 to 16 on the grounds of St. Elizabeth’s Church.

According to Fernando Brum, president, the event is expected to be as successful as last year’s inaugural event, which combined the previous Feasts of the Holy Ghost and Holy Spirit.

“The celebration begins on Friday, June 14, with the opening of the Feast at 7 p.m. with live music and auction of gifts,” said Mr. Brum. “On Saturday, June 15, the Bodo Leite procession will be leaving from Guiteras School onto High Street, then to Franklin Street, to Wood Street, and to the church, followed by live music and auction of gifts.”

The most solemn part of the Feast will be held on Sunday, June 16, with a the Holy Ghost procession starting at 9 a.m. leaving Gil's TV parking lot, and then traveling down Bay View Avenue, to Wood Street, to St. Elizabeth’s Church for Mass at 10:30 a.m.

“After the crowing,” said Mr. Brum, “the procession will proceed onto Wood Street, then Franklin Street, High Street, Bay View Avenue, Wood Street, into the Church Auditorium, where Holy Ghost Soup will be served to all, into the evening. There will be music by DJ Duo Sound and live music with Saint Elizabeth's Band, auction of gifts, drawing of the raffle, and the Domingas and Mordomos for 2019/2020.”
