Warwick man injured on bike path accident in Barrington

Accident occurred at intersection of bike path and South Lake Drive

Barrington Police and EMTs responded to the intersection of South Lake Drive and the bike path at about 2:45 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 13 for an accident — police said a vehicle struck a bicyclist.

The bicyclist was a 70-year-old Warwick resident; the vehicle was driven by an Alfred Drown Road resident.

Police said the bicyclist suffered minor injuries, and according to the police dispatch log, the man was transported to a hospital.

Police did not issue any summonses to the motorist.
