Vincent James Santaniello Jr., Esq., 88, of Barrington

Vincent James Santaniello Jr., Esq., passed away Sunday, Nov. 15, 2020. He was 88 years old. Married to Jean Lorraine Roy Santaniello for 60 years, James was a member of the Barrington Democratic Party since 1964. He also was on the Zoning Board Review for Barrington since 1976. Along with this he also coached Barrington Little League, was the Bail Commissioner for Barrington, Bristol and Warren, as well as a hockey coach. 

He was town solicitor in East Greenwich, and on the Cumberland School Committee. 

He practiced law for 41 years. 

Along with his wife, he leaves behind 3 children: Vincent J. Santaniello III, Donna J. Casanova, and Susan A. Santaniello.

Calling hours are omitted and the funeral will be private.

In lieu of flowers kindly donate to the Jimmy Fund on James behalf.

A lifelong Portsmouth resident, Jim graduated from Portsmouth High School in 1982 and earned a journalism degree from the University of Rhode Island in 1986. He's worked two different stints at East Bay Newspapers, for a total of 18 years with the company so far. When not running all over town bringing you the news from Portsmouth, Jim listens to lots and lots and lots of music, watches obscure silent films from the '20s and usually has three books going at once. He also loves to cook crazy New Orleans dishes for his wife of 25 years, Michelle, and their two sons, Jake and Max.
