The town needs you … to take the comp plan survey

Survey will play key role in identifying priorities

Posted

Town officials are encouraging residents, business owners, and the larger community to take the Community Survey about the Barrington Comprehensive Plan this month.

Participation will help officials identify priorities for Barrington’s infrastructure, community amenities, economic development, and recreational facilities.

The comprehensive plan, called Barrington 2050, is a planning initiative that takes place every 10 years, and looks ahead 20-plus years.

“Community input is a critical component of the plan, and residents, business owners, and the larger community are encouraged to participate through the survey,” stated a press release from the town.

“The survey asks residents about their priorities, what they would like to see in Barrington, and how the Town can better serve their specific needs. It has been designed to be quick and easy to fill out, taking 10-15 minutes to complete.”

To take the survey, visit the Survey Monkey page at https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/SDT36D8 on a phone, tablet, or computer. If you have any questions regarding this study or would like to request a printed copy of the survey, please contact Isabelle Gillibrand, Planning/Zoning Technician, at 401-247-1900 ext. 326 or igillibrand@barrington.ri.gov.
