Police respond to erratic driver, find medical emergency
Barrington's first responders rush motorist to hospital
Barrington Police received multiple 911 calls for an erratic driver traveling on County Road near the shopping center on Monday, Dec. 28.
Police located the suspect vehicle perched on a curb just south of the intersection with Rumstick Road. The SUV’s driver appeared to be having a medical emergency — he was unresponsive and possibly seizing, police said.
Police officers found that the doors to the vehicle were locked and the SUV was still running.
Officers broke the passenger side window to gain access. The driver, a man in his 50s, was removed from the vehicle and rushed to a hospital.
