Barrington police are investigating a strange situation discovered at the Shaw's Supermarket in the Barrington Shopping Center.
On Saturday, April 4, a store employee told police that obscene pictures and notes had been placed on shelves all throughout the store. Police said it appeared that someone had cut out pictures from magazines or flyers of women's underwear ads and placed them on shelves.
A store official told police that a similar situation had taken place in 2011, and that the clippings discovered recently were "mild" compared to the images and notes left in 2011.
Police are working with store officials to identify a suspect.
