Apple Blossom Preschool in Barrington will be hosting the second annual Nomadic Cultural Festival this Saturday, June 18, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The festival is a fun and educational event that will feature performances by a local belly dance troupe at 11:15, traditional Kazakh folk dance by Prestige Ballet at noon and music played on the Prima Kobyz, a traditional stringed instrument played by a master musician Aijan Tuleubayeva at 1 p.m.

There will be a craft table for children of all ages and weaving installation to work on. Juice Junkie food truck will be parked out front serving healthy lunches and smoothies. There will be local vendors and a raffle drawing.

This festival started as a celebration of Apple Blossom’s yurt, the first yurt classroom in Rhode Island. Tickets are $5 for families and $2.50 for individuals.
