Letter: Previous week’s letter expresses self-righteous indignation

Posted

As a long-time Barrington resident, I read the letters from Cindy Capra and Amy Sutherland with concern. I doubt that either of them is capable of defining "systemic racism", or of providing examples of that in Barrington. Instead, the letters merely express self-righteous indignation, the core of virtue signaling.

Other than writing letters and perhaps posting signs, it would be interesting to know what specific actions (even "the smallest of efforts") either of them has ever taken to reduce or eliminate, in Barrington or elsewhere, the so-called systemic racism that apparently so deeply concerns them.

A relevant quote:

“America is systematically being conned by those who disguise their hypocrisy, who manipulate the guilt-ridden, who have no interest in solving America’s most dangerous problems, and who get or stay rich by hyping an America in need of massive rebooting.”
