Letter: Diverse equity overcomes common sense... again

Well, your school district has now gotten its deserved "10 minutes of fame" on FOX News, America's news source. When I first saw/heard today's Barrington episode, I figured they were just clowning around, to trigger us "deplorables". But no.. they were dead serious, regarding the School District's trash-canning the schools' Honors Program. Amazing.

The loud Randi Weingarten and her corrupt "woke" union has now gotten her dangerous claws into your small town, albeit the average family income is $77,990 a year.

Who allowed this to happen? Katie Novak, a Barrington "representative”?, called your/our treasured and proven system of education, "antiquated". What? I smell "dumbing down".

Let's make a comparison, and suppose the "woke" Ms. Novak had a chat with Eagles  football coach Sandy Gorham, and they/he decided that next season, your successful Eagles would strive for an "equitable" (aka, mediocre) 4-4 season with a couple of ties, thrown in. That way, the other schools wouldn't be made to feel inferior. All your "woke" Eagles fans would then feel "included". Awwww....

Seriously, what we see going on here is but a small sample of the destruction, nationwide, of this nation's education system, and ....as it bleeds over into our military, God help us. The Chinese are already laughing. Believe me, THEY watch FOX News. (So do 2,695,00 folks every night...as compared to MSNBC w/ 1,520,000, and CNN at 711,000) But I digress.

With any luck, there are some informed Barrington parents, who will stand up and say something like, "What in the HELL is happening, here?"

Good luck.
