What is this new virus I’m hearing about?

If its origin is funny, it’s from China, no doubt.

Mutate and incubate are terms scientific,

Precisely what makes Corona so prolific.

But virus corona, we got from a bat!

Nimble and quick is this Covid-19.

Some would say it’s a well-oiled machine.

To that I agree,

But no match will it be for effective vaccine.

Someday it will be over. Someday it’ll end.

And whenever that is, our bodies will mend.

Happy’s the day when Corona is done. When the germ is defeated

And mankind has won.

So, do your social distancing

And shelter-in-place.

As Dr. Fauci and friends

To solutions they do race.
