Letter: Arlene Violet shows her bias against Republicans

Posted

In her recent column (“Republicans need to get with the program”), Arlene Violet really exposed her biases. She criticized the Republicans but said nothing about the way the Democrats are making a mockery of the conduct of our Congress.

Some facts: She cited the whistleblower account which, by now, has been totally irrelevant. President Donald Trump released the official transcript of the call with the permission of the Ukraine president, and it negated the whistleblower’s account.

Next, Adam Schiff gave an exaggerated summary of the whistleblower’s transcript, and he lied about its contents, and when called out for this, he said it was a parody. I don’t now about you, but I think a parody (or lie) is not the way you start an investigation.

Arlene also didn’t mention the behind-closed-doors investigation that the Democrats are proceeding with in this witch hunt.

In her column, she says Trump sought assistance from the Chinese government. I would like to know what assistance Trump asked for. Along this line, she stated that the Chinese awarded license rights to Ivanka Trump, but Arlene doesn’t mention there was absolutely no pressure from Trump in this scenario. I think this was a cheap shot. However, she never mentioned the millions Hunter Biden received shortly after visiting with China with his father on a government plane.

Finally, there was no quid pro quo in his exchange with the Ukrainians. I think Joe Biden was more guilty of a quid pro quo than anything Trump did, when he put pressure on a Ukrainian government to fire the investigator looking into his son’s involvement in a Ukrainian company, but of course, the fake news is running interference for him.

Finally, Arlene criticizes Trump for bordering on being a dictator. I look at it this way. The Democrats think nothing of destroying someone who disagrees with them, and when they are confronted, they cry foul. I have not seen a Democrat going to jail yet, but I have seen many Republicans penalized for a lot less crimes than the Democrats are guilty of.

Trump must be assertive to correct this injustice.
