From Primrose Hill School to the Rhode Island State Police

BHS graduates and longtime friends are State Troopers

Jake Bassignani and Ben Goodrich have been friends for a long time.

The two first met on the playground at Primrose Hill School when they were just kids, and continued their friendship over the years. Bassignani and Goodrich graduated from Barrington High School in 2018, and now, both are serving with the Rhode Island State Police.

Lynn Bassignani, Jake’s mother, recently attended the graduation ceremony for the Rhode Island State Police to witness Goodrich be sworn into the brother/sisterhood of RISP.

It’s a tight-knit community, said Bassignani.

“In 1997 I attended my first RISP ceremony for my husband, Captain David Bassignani, second in 2022 of my son Trooper, Jake Bassignani (Barrington High School graduate 2018) and now Ben Goodrich in 2024,” Lynn wrote in a message to the Barrington Times. “I am extremely proud of the three of them to achieve such an honor. Congratulations Ben, welcome to the RISP family!”
