The Barrington High School girls lacrosse team sprinted to a commanding lead against LaSalle and held on for a 19-15 win in the quarterfinals of the Division I playoffs on Wednesday night, May 24.

Barrington girls defeat LaSalle, 19-15, advance to semifinals

The Barrington High School girls lacrosse team sprinted to a commanding lead against LaSalle and held on for a 19-15 win in the quarterfinals of the Division I playoffs on Wednesday night, May 24.

Anna Lombardi led the Eagles with a strong all-around performance. Lombardi had 15 draw controls, 11 ground balls, two goals and four assists in the victory. 

Emily Horn and Charlotte Danyla each scored five goals for Barrington. Emma Johnson tallied two goals and assisted on three other scores, while Violet Gagliano posted three goals and finished with six ground balls and two draw controls.

Barrington goalkeeper Kate McAdams finished the game with six saves.

Madelyn Maspar led LaSalle with four goals. 

The Eagles play against East Greenwich in the Division I semifinals on Thursday, June 1. The game will be played at Cranston Stadium at 7 p.m.
