A mixed doubles pickleball tournament was held at the Barrington Middle School on Wednesday, Sept. 8 from 6:30 to 10 p.m.

Thirty-six men and women competed in teams, playing five games each over the course of the first two hours. Twelve players made it to the medal round, and the gold medal match finished moments before the lights went out.

“Many thanks to the Barrington residents who participated in and supported the tournament,” stated a press release from tournament organizers.

“Finally, a shout-out to the Parks and Recreation Department for their support of the tournament and pickleball in town!”
