Barrington police have noticed a sharp increase in the number of bikes reported stolen over the last few weeks.
According to police more than a dozen bicycles have been reported stolen; meanwhile, a number of abandoned bikes have also been discovered across Barrington. The found bikes have been seized by the police and are being held at the Barrington Public Safety Building.
Anyone who has reported a bike stolen is welcome to stop by the station and check out the bicycles that have been seized by police, and see if his or her bicycle is there. Police said many of the bikes are in good condition.
