Officials estimate the value of stolen items at $1,000

Officials at St. John's Episcopal Church on County Road in Barrington contacted local police after discovering that someone had stolen a number of items from the church.

The church official told Barrington Police officers that the stolen items included a silver chalice, and a silver communion plate.

Officials believe the larceny may have taken place when the church's front doors had been left unlocked from 10:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. The stolen items were valued at $1,000.
