Bristol's Fourth – What You Need to Know

Yes, Bristol is having a parade on July 4. It will be smaller, quicker and earlier than anyone has seen in decades, but there will be a parade.

Here's some of what you need to know if you're thinking of going — while social-distancing and keeping your mask handy.

The Parade

  • WHERE: The traditional route, beginning at Hope and Chestnut streets, ending at the Town Common
  • WHEN: Parade rolls out at 8:30 a.m.
  • WHAT: A vehicle-only parade; no marchers on foot
  • HOW LONG: Approximately 45 minutes
  • ROADS: The parade route will be closed to parking beginning at 5 a.m., and closed to traffic beginning at 7:30 a.m.
