The Barrington Little League Andreozzi Tournament team will open play this Saturday with a game against Narragansett.

The team, formed of Barrington Little League 8U players, will also have first-week games against Middletown and Fox Point/East Side.

According to team manage Mike Raia, the team has gone 2-1 in scrimmages as it prepares for the start of the tournament. Barrington defeated Bristol and Rehoboth and lost a close game to Portsmouth.

Hudson Lang, Grant Garneau and Jack Harding are expected to see time on the mound for Barrington, while Reid Raia will serve as the team’s primary catcher.

“Joe Antonelli and Terry Nickell have had our biggest bats in our scrimmages,” Raia said, adding that Tommy Grossman is the only returning player from last year’s Andreozzi Tournament team.

Following is the team’s full roster: Jaxon Sawyer (#1), Caden Corcoran (#3), James Guilbeault (#5), Terry Nickell (#6), Will Glass (#9), Hudson Lang (#10), Arrow Pierce-Sanchez (#11), Reid Raia (#12), Grant Garneau (#14), Sam Donatelli (#15), Tommy Grossman (#16), Joseph Antonelli (#23), Jack Harding (#42)

The team’s assistant coaches are Tim Lang, Greg Grossman, and Luke Harding.
