EMTs transport worker to hospital; no one charged

Barrington Police responded to a Nayatt Road residence on Monday, June 16 to assist EMTs on a rescue call.

Police said a contractor was working at the home and one of the laborers complained that another worker threw a rock at him, striking him in the leg.

The alleged victim told police it was his first day on the job and the other workers had been calling him unflattering names all morning. He said he was carrying a bucket of concrete up a hill when he felt a pain in his leg. The man told police he believes another worker threw a rock at him.

Police spoke with the other workers, but they all denied throwing a rock at the man. Police said there was no visible evidence of a rock being thrown.

EMTs transported the man to a hospital. No one was charged.
