Police unable to locate suspect vehicle

Posted

A FedEx delivery driver contacted Barrington Police on Friday, Dec. 6, after spotting a suspicious vehicle in West Barrington.

The driver told police it appeared the truck was following the FedEx vehicle and may have stolen packages in the back.

The FedEx driver was in the area of Washington Road when she spotted the suspicious truck. Police responded to Washington Road and searched for the vehicle — a dark gray Toyota pickup truck — but could not find it.

On Monday, Dec. 2, a Brookfield Avenue resident told police someone stole two packages that had been delivered to the home. The resident told police the family had been away for the weekend, when the packages were delivered.
