A Barrington Police officer was conducting a routine patrol downtown at about 2:20 a.m. on Thursday, April 10, when he spotted two juveniles sitting under a blanket inside the Wood’s Pond gazebo near the Peck Center building.

Police spoke to the two teenagers — a 13-year-old Barrington girl and her 14-year-old male cousin from East Providence. Police said both teens had their faces painted up like clowns and the juveniles were also drawing on their arms. Police said both teens were very uncooperative.

Police eventually were able to contact the girl’s mother; she stopped by the pond and picked up both teenagers. No one was charged.
