Two Barrington All-Star baseball teams will begin their quests for a state championship today.

Barrington's 11U All-Star team, which rolled through the District II tournament with an unblemished record, will play against the District III representative, North Kingstown/Wickford. The game is set for Saturday, July 20, at 11:30 a.m. at Deerfield Park in Smithfield.

Barrington's 12U All-Star team took a less traditional route to its District II title. The local team lost its first game of the district tournament but then won its next seven straight games. Barrington's 12U All-Star team will play against Chariho in the state tournament opener; the game is set for Saturday, July 20, at 7 p.m. in East Greenwich.
