Adeline A. Serio, 91, of Barrington

Adeline A. (DiMatteo) Serio, age 91, passed away peacefully at her home in Barrington, Wednesday, Nov. 20, 2019. She was the wife of the late Jerry A. Serio.

Born in Barrington, a daughter of the late Giuseppe and Michelina (De Salvo) DiMatteo she was a lifelong resident of Barrington.

A graduate of Peck High School in Barrington, she was a hairdresser and then an inspector for the Trifari Jewelry Company for many years until her retirement in 1993. A communicant of Holy Angels Church, she was an avid Yankees fan and despised the Red Sox. She enjoyed playing Bingo and especially loved spending time with her grandchildren.

She is survived by her son, Frank J. Serio and his wife Susan of Barrington and two grandchildren, Jason A. Serio of Denver, Colo. and Jessica A. Serio of Seattle, Wash. She was the sister of the late Mary Dellefratte, Angelina Camara and Nicholas DiMatteo.

Her Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, Dec. 3, at 9 a.m. from the Wilbur-Romano Funeral Home, 615 Main St., Warren followed by her Funeral Mass at 10 a.m. in Holy Angels Church, 341 Maple Ave., Barrington. Relatives and friends invited. Burial will be in Maria del Campo, Barrington. Visiting hours are Monday from 4 to 7 p.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions in her honor may be made to Alzheimer’s Association, 309 Waverly Oaks Rd., Waltham, MA 02452.
