Adam R. Almeida, 36, of Barrington, passed away on Wednesday, June 12, 2019, after being stricken at home. Although he had struggled in recent months with Guillain-Barre Syndrome, he was doing well and his death was unexpected to his family and friends.

He is survived by his parents, Fred and Kathy Almeida of Barrington, his two young sons, Aiden (7) and Mason (6) and his dog Hera. He is also survived by his former spouse and mother of his boys, Tiffany Almeida.

Adam graduated from Barrington High School. For many years, he worked with his father in the construction business. But he recently found his true talents as a landscaper. He opened his own business and took tremendous pride in the gardens and lawns he serviced — and in the beautiful patios and walkways he built.

He was famous for his salty language and enjoyed motorcycles and fast cars. But his greatest joy was his sons and spending time with them. His other passion was animals — dogs in particular — and he enjoyed a special bond with all animals.

Respecting the wishes of the family, arrangements are private. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made in Adam's memory to the Potter League For Animals in Middletown, RI.
