Class Schedule

Adult programs will meet as follows at the Bristol Statehouse (guitar classes will meet at Mt. Hope High School):

  • Advanced Strings, Mary Casale - Monday evenings from 6:30-8:10 
  • Beginning Strings, Wendy Rios - Wednesday evenings from 6:00-7:40
  • Intermediate Strings, Wendy Rios - Wednesday evenings from 7:40-9:20
  • Chamber Ensemble, Nathan Rodriquez - Thursday afternoons from 4:00-5:40
  • Beginning Guitar Ensemble, Vicki Boyle - Thursday evenings from 5:45-7:25 at MHHS
  • Advanced Guitar Ensemble, Vicki Boyle - Thursday evenings from 7:25-9:05 at MHHS

Instrument Rentals

  • All rentals available on a first-come, first-serve basis
  • Guitar students must provide their own classical guitar, foot stool and method book. Recommended dealers can be found here.

Meet our staff
Jim McGaw

A lifelong Portsmouth resident, Jim graduated from Portsmouth High School in 1982 and earned a journalism degree from the University of Rhode Island in 1986. He's worked two different stints at East Bay Newspapers, for a total of 18 years with the company so far. When not running all over town bringing you the news from Portsmouth, Jim listens to lots and lots and lots of music, watches obscure silent films from the '20s and usually has three books going at once. He also loves to cook crazy New Orleans dishes for his wife of 25 years, Michelle, and their two sons, Jake and Max.
