Ellen M. Martin, 91, Westport

Ellen M. (Potter) Martin, 91, of Westport, passed away Tues., Dec. 25, 2018, at Charlton Memorial Hospital. She was the wife of the late David C. Martin.

Born in Tiverton, daughter of the late George and Ethel (Chace) Potter, she lived in Westport for over 65 years. 

She retired from Martin's Cheese Co. in 2008.  She enjoyed cooking and casinos but mostly time with her grandchildren.

She is survived by two sons,  David C. Martin Jr. and Alan S. Martin, both of Westport; two daughters, Susan C. DeJesus and husband Christopher Bennett, and Deborah A. Ferry and husband Michael, all of Westport; a brother, Richard Blacow of Dartmouth; eight grandchildren; seven great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.  She was the mother of the late Gary T. Martin and grandmother to the late Holly L. Martin.

Funeral services: Monday, Dec. 31, at Potter Funeral Home, Westport at 9 a.m. followed by a Mass at St. George Church, Westport, at 10. 

Calling hours: Sunday, Dec. 30, 3-6 p.m. 

Burial in Beech Grove Cemetery, Westport.
