Warren police: Man with light saber yells at cars

Monday, May 7
A caller complained about a car filled trash and an expired inspection sticker on Franklin Street.
A woman asked for and received police assistance in retrieving her belongings from a Wood Street apartment, after she discovered that the locks had been changed. Police contacted the man and asked him to contact police later that day.
The principal of the Hugh Cole School asked for police assistance with an altercation between student and teacher.
A Haile Street woman complained that a car was blockingg her driveway.
Police contacted DOT after a caller reported finding glass along Arlington Avenue.
Tuesday, May 8
Loud music was reported along Main Street just after 3 a.m. When police arrived at the apartment in question, the occupant turned down the music and closed his window.
The father of a Hugh Cole School student told police his daughter was receiving sexual messages from a male student.
A caller from Daddy Avenue reported the possible theft of an item that was delivered and signed for but not at her house.
A caller from Sisson Street called twice about noisy neighbors. Police arrived at 10:25 p.m. and advised the neighbors to call it a night.
Wednesday, May 9
An Overkill Road woman reported seeing a strange car in her grandmother’s yard. It turned out to be a contractor who went to the wrong address.
A Child Street man complained about a neighbor who had a habit of driving by and yelling at him. Police spoke to both parties and resolved the matter.
A Metacom Avenue woman found a syringe in her backyard.
A Church Street man found a bicycle on his property and called police.
A Wood Street man complained about a neighbor’s incessantly barking dog.
A mother vs. daughter argument drew police to a Broad Street home.
Police stopped and talked to a man who was preaching on Metacom Avenue.
A Sisson Street resident complained about a neighbor’s loud music.
Thursday, May 10
Sky M. Corporan
, 26, of Providence, was charged with driving after the denial, suspension or revocation of her license, third or subsequent offense, after police pulled her over just before 5 p.m. on Market Street.
An Asselin Street resident reported a domestic disturbance at a neighbor’s house.
A caller driving on Metacom Avenue told police that someone shot a bottle rocket across the street as he passed. There was no damage to the car, but he wanted to make police aware.
Friday, May 11
Joseph A. Roy
, 31, of Fall River, was charged with driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol, first offense, and refusal to submit to a chemical test, after police received a 12:01 a.m. report from an off duty East Providence police officer that a man was driving erratically on Market Street.
The housing director at Franklin Court called with concerns about a resident who had a marijuana plant. Police arrived and spoke to the tenant, who claimed to hold a medical marijuana card. The housing director said the state Department of Health would be contacted to verify the claim.
Richard N. Raymond, 51, of 37 Child St., was charged with driving without or on an expired license, third or subsequent offense, after police pulled him over on Main Street at 10:36 a.m.
A Union Street woman complained that neighbors were burning wood in a large fire pit. Police advised the resident to put out the fire.
Police gained access to an Overhill Road home after the homeowner called the fire department and reported being locked out.
Saturday, May 12
A caller reported fishermen littering and parking along the bike path at Mill Street.
A Croade Street resident reported a burning rubber smell. Fire department crews traced the smell the the fridge. The resident was advised to unplug it and leave it unplugged.
A caller complained about a man yelling and waving a light saber at cars passing on Main Street. No word on whether he was rebel alliance or empire.
A caller from Warren Avenue reported suspected drug use outside his home.
Sunday, May 13
A caller complained about dogs running on the Warren Town Beach.
