Warren police logs: Pet parrot on the lam

Monday, April 2
Police were called to Bradbury Street for a dog bite.
Choed Chhoeun, 30, of Providence, was charged with driving after the denial, suspension or revocation of his license, second offense, and operating a motor vehicle with a suspended registration, after police pulled him over on Market Street at 4:21 p.m.
Bristol police asked their counterparts in Warren to look out for a 16-year-old boy who reportedly ran away from his home in that town. The boy was seen wearing pajamas and slippers.
Tuesday, April 3
A caller asked that police check out a domestic disturbance at her daughter’s house on Central Avenue.
A West Street woman reported being harassed.
Wednesday, April 4
A Broad Street woman told police that she believed that her family members were trying to defraud her.
A caller from Market Street called with concerns that his girlfriend was trying to drive after taking medication. Police noted that the woman gave up her keys soon after.
A Child Street woman asked that police remove her brother from her apartment.
Police got a call about a woman who was screaming at herself on Main Street. Police determined she was upset that she’d lost her phone.
The Hugh Cole School principal reported that a second grader “made a report of” hurting another student with a gun.
A Child Street man told police that his ex was using his bank account without his permission.
The director of the after school program at Hugh Cole School contacted the state Department of Children, Youth and Families (DCYF) after a student said her mother hits her as a form of punishment. DCYF officials stated that they would not be investigating.
Thursday, April 5
A passer-by on Main Street told police that a juvenile kicked and broke the door of a business.
A Kelly Street resident reported threats being made via Social Media. Police determined no threats had been made, and that the two involved were just “having a verbal argument on Facebook.”
Friday, April 6
A suspicious car spotted on Franklin Street at 3:05 a.m. was being driven by a woman who told police she was out looking for her husband.
Police charged a juvenile, 14, with possession of marijuana, one ounce or less, after a caller asked police to go to a Child Street address for an “unkown juvenile matter.”
A parrot got loose from its cage in an Overhill Road home and escaped.
A caller from Main Street reported at 9 a.m. that he saw a man try to break into a car and then run off.
Police received multiple phone calls regarding two loud explosions heard on Maple Street just before midnight. It turned out to be a backfiring car.
Saturday, April 7
An Overhill Road man called police to report finding a “pet bird” in his backyard. However it wasn’t the parrot reported missing a day earlier. The animal control officer reported that the bird was a golden pheasant.
Aryana B. Scofield, 26, of Pawtucket, was pulled over on Metacom Avenue and charged with driving after the denial, suspension or revocation of her license. There was also an active warrant for her arrest issued out of Pawtucket, and Warren police contacted officers there to come and pick her up.
Jeff C. Leite, 32, of Bristol, was charged with driving after the denial, suspension or revocation of his license, third or subsequent offense, and arrested on a bench warrant issued by Sixth Division District Court in Providence.
Carlos B. Rosa, 68, of Bristol, was picked up on a warrant for misdemeanor shoplifting.
Sunday, April 8
Nancy Green, 59, of Bristol, was charged with driving after the denial, suspension or revocation of her license, first offense.
A Brady Street woman told police that someone egged her car.
