Sailboat aground at Warren's Laurel Park

Posted

The Warren Harbormaster is trying to find the owner of a 29-foot sailboat that went aground off Laurel Park late last week.

Harbormaster Ed Cabral said he got word the grounding on Friday. The boat had apparently been at anchor near Conklin Cove, just northeast of Bristol Narrows, for some time. Mr. Cabral said he was able to identify the boat’s owner, an East Providence man, but said the boat is not registered in either Warren or Bristol.

As of Monday, the boat was still aground.
