The Mt. Hope High School boys’ hockey team will play for the state Division II title Saturday, after the Huskies edged out South Kingstown on the road Wednesday afternoon, 10-6.

The win was a redemption for Coach Jay Spina and his squad, who fell to South Kingstown during their only regular season match two weeks to the day earlier.

Saturday’s championship game against Middletown starts at 4:45 p.m. Saturday at Brown University’s Stevenson Field.

The girls' squad will take on South Kingstown Thursday afternoon at the Bristol Parks and Recreation Department field adjacent to Colt State Park. The winner of that matchup will play in the state finals at 3:15 p.m. Sunday, June 3, at Stevenson Field.
