Lillian  D. ( Gervais) Russo, 91, of Warren, died Wednesday, August 8, 2018 at the Grace Barker Nursing Home. She was the wife of the late Angelo J. Russo.

Lillian was born in Fall River, MA., a daughter of the late  Henry and Cecilia ( Bartlett) Gervais.

Mrs. Russo was a homemaker. A lifelong  Warren resident, Lillian was a parishioner of St. Mary of the Bay Church.

Lillian enjoyed painting pictures, doing ceramics, gardening and playing poker. She was an avid reader who enjoyed going to Cape Cod often.

She is survived by her children, Joseph M. Russo of Arizona, Jerry T. Russo of Warren, Angelo D. Russo of Warren, David Russo of Richmond, RI, Michael Russo of Coventry, Richard Russo of Pascoag and Cynthia Rodrigues of Nashua, NH. She was the sister of Shirley Rebello of Concord, NH, Doris Meiggs of Bristol, Eleanor Guerreiro of Seekonk and John Gervais of Warren. She was the grandmother of 12 and the great-grandmother of 14. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Charles Gervais, Henry Gervais, Ray Gervais, Jimmy Gervais, Bobby Gervais, Celia Bullock, Rose Swanson and Ruth Figureid.

Mrs. Russo's funeral service will be held Monday, August 13, 2018  at 11 am in the SMITH FUNERAL & MEMORIAL SERVICES, 8 Schoolhouse Road, Warren. Burial  follow in St. Mary of the Bay Cemetery, Vernon Street, Warren. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Calling hours are Sunday from 2 to 5 pm. See www.wjsmithfh.com.

A lifelong Portsmouth resident, Jim graduated from Portsmouth High School in 1982 and earned a journalism degree from the University of Rhode Island in 1986. He's worked two different stints at East Bay Newspapers, for a total of 18 years with the company so far. When not running all over town bringing you the news from Portsmouth, Jim listens to lots and lots and lots of music, watches obscure silent films from the '20s and usually has three books going at once. He also loves to cook crazy New Orleans dishes for his wife of 25 years, Michelle, and their two sons, Jake and Max.
