Justine M. (Mello) Palazio, 99, of Warren, died Saturday, April 7, 2018 at the Grace Barker Nursing Home. She was the wife of the late George Palazio and also the late Arthur Perry.

Justine was born in Warren, a daughter of the late Eugene and Gloria (Perry) Mello. She was a kitchen worker for the Grace Barker Nursing Home for over 10 years.

She had been a Warren resident all of her life, and was a parishioner of St. Thomas the Apostle Church, where she was a member of the Holy Rosary Sodality. Justine was an avid bingo player, raised strawberries and played the mandolin. She enjoyed traveling, shopping and spending time with her family and friends.

Mrs. Palazio is survived by her children, George Palazio Jr. of Smithfield, RI, Christopher Jon Palazio of Alexandria, VA., Donna Amaral and her husband Joseph of Warren, and Joyce Palazio of Warren.

She was the grandmother of Mark Palazio, Gina Rigby, Matthew Palazio, Daniel Amaral, Patrice Amaral, Laura Palazio and Diana Palazio. She was also the great-grandmother of Amanda, Nicole, Mollie, Ava, Kyle, Anthony, Preston and Mason. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews, great-nieces and nephews and great-great-nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Palazio was the youngest child in her family, and was preceded in death by her many brothers and sisters.

Her funeral will be held at 8:45 a.m. Tuesday, April 10, from Smith Funeral and Memorial Services, 8 Schoolhouse Road, Warren, with a Mass of Christian burial at 10 am in St. Thomas the Apostle Church, 500 Metacom Ave., Warren.

Burial will follow in St. Jean Baptiste Cemetery, Vernon Street, Warren. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Visiting hours are Monday from 4 to 7pm.
