To the editor:
This letter is not just a tribute to the late Matt Harris — I was his neighbor and friend of his youth, but also a salute to Warren’s Finest and his fellow fire fighters who all turned out to honor their brother with first responders from the region. It is also a tribute to the residents of the Town of Warren, who turned out in numbers too many to count to honor a favorite son who left us all too soon and in shock.
At Smith’s Funeral Home while watching the picture tribute of his short life, we all smiled because almost every picture of Matt was of him smiling. There are many memories I have of Matt and they are all of him smiling.
The biggest thing about this big man was his big, infectious smile.
Matt M. Harris, God keep and enjoy him, smile at him, and he will smile back.
