Gould: What does my opponent stand for?

You may not agree with me, but you’ll always know where I stand.

One of the positives about being a Libertarian is that it’s a political philosophy based upon a very simple principle. Every citizen should be allowed to do as they see fit, so long as their actions do not infringe upon the life, liberty, and property of others, and we should be free of government interference. This idea can be applied rather easily to any issue, making it very easy to determine where I stand, often times without even requiring an inquiry.

This cannot be said for my opponent, a self-professed “progressive” who supported the use of taxpayer dollars to provide corporate welfare to wealthy billionaires in their effort to build a ball park, supported speed cameras in Providence, a tax on the poor aimed only at generating revenue, supports the governors $2 billion school improvement program, which would force Barrington taxpayers to absorb the costs of improvements in districts that did not prioritize their infrastructure.

Are these the progressive values that his supporters were looking for? My guess would be no.
