Tiverton Girls tennis loses in semifinals

The Tiverton High School girls tennis team ended their playoff run when they were beaten by North Providence 4-2, in the Division III semifinals at Barrington High School on Friday night.

Tiverton’s singles players Sydney Pelletier and Skylar Lewis won their matches, but the Tigers were swept in doubles and lost the four singles spot.

Pelletier beat Danielle Morel, 6-3, 6-0, and Lewis beat Victoria Winter, 6-4, 6-1.

Tiverton four singles player Mackenzie Pelletier lost to Anne-Marie Vacca, 6-1, 6-0 and Tigers.

Tiverton one doubles team, Emily McGrady and Abigail Forcier lost to Gianna Montella and Hailey Mendes, 6-1, 6-0. Tiverton two doubles team, Suzanne Buckley and Lindsay Monast lost to Olivia Kooloian and Mya D’Amico, 6-2, 6-3. Tiverton three doubles team, Sarah Wenzel and Hannah Nasiff lost to Tina Chen and Kate Pappas, 6-2, 6-2.

Tigers two singles player Jaimi Vaillancourt didn’t get to finish her match, due to the third doubles match finishing first. She was up in the third set.
