Margaret Reid, formerly of Tiverton

Margaret (Wilson) Reid, formerly of Tiverton, passed away on January 14, 2019.  She was the wife of the late G. Parker Reid. 

Born in Fall River, she was the daughter of the late Mary Ann (Hickey) and James Wilson. 

She had moved to New York for 28 years, retired to Tiverton for 27 years and then moved to California. 

She is survived by a daughter, Patricia, and two sons, Kenneth and William. She also leaves four grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

A gathering is planned from 7 p.m. to 8:30 pm on Friday, Jan 2, at the Pocasset Memorial Funeral Home 462 Main Road, Tiverton.  Her funeral will take place on Saturday, Jan 2, at 10 a.m. at St Christopher's Catholic Church, Tiverton, followed by  Burial at Pocasset Hill Cemetery, Tiverton.   www.almeida-pocasset.com for online guest book.

Jim McGaw

A lifelong Portsmouth resident, Jim graduated from Portsmouth High School in 1982 and earned a journalism degree from the University of Rhode Island in 1986. He's worked two different stints at East Bay Newspapers, for a total of 18 years with the company so far. When not running all over town bringing you the news from Portsmouth, Jim listens to lots and lots and lots of music, watches obscure silent films from the '20s and usually has three books going at once. He also loves to cook crazy New Orleans dishes for his wife of 25 years, Michelle, and their two sons, Jake and Max.
